Putting a BA/BF Turbo motor into an EA?

Just contemplating options really,
How much would I be looking at in spending to get a turbo motor from a newer ford for my EA.
Is it worth it, or is putting a turbo in the motor already in it a better option?
I dunno just really want to see people opinions :)

My cars like exact same as the one in your pic :P
well lets not think about price,
So its pretty easy to just find a wrecked BA or whatever, and get it put in?
anything else much involved besides the motor I guess?
eg, keep original transmission and stuff?

Ok, don't worry about this then, just asking some opinions and stuff. I'll do some more research then.

Just another quick question.
My car played up, the coolant was leaking into the motor.
We took the head off and found it was the gasket, so if we just replace that, flush it out and all that, would the water have still damaged it too much for it to be saved?
I didnt drive it much once I had realised what had happened.

You blew a head gasket. Happens all the time. Just replace it all properly and then flush coolant and oil with fresh stuff, it will be fine.

Ok, sounds good.
Just kept getting mixed opinions, a few people told me the water would have screwed the whole motor up!

How long is a piece of string? If the head gasket is proper fucked and you don't realise for long enough it can stuff the motor. If it's only a little bit fucked and you don't drive it for long then you probably won't have any problems. It would probably help if you got a mechanic to look at it if you can't tell for yourself if it's fucked or not.

Also, start reading build threads, lots of them. Then do a search, and read all the threads that come up. Then read some more. And if you still can't figure out what you want to do about motor choice, THEN ask the question.
