Boosted Falcon

Hey guys, I just bought a Ford EF 94 falcon futura about 3 days ago. I bought it with a cracked broke booster and the guy said that's the cause of the popping sound in the exhaust and kicking back. So I replaced the booster and the only difference is that I have more compression on the brake peddle. However, the exhaust still pops and drops revs and I can feel it kicking around. It does it in idle or taking off. When I take off as normal at the lights, it will put along as if it's looking a lot of power due to this popping and the revs bounce around. My guess is that it may be the fuel filter maybe?

Sounds like its missing from what I can barely read. Replace plugs and leads

It astounds me that people still don't do the basics when buying a second hand car.

shagged valves.

The other thing to do for sure on any falcon 6 is:

Thermostat (+ drill extra 2mm hole in the new one)
New waterpump, radiator hoses (allllll of them) and a new belt.

Helps keeps the headgasket gremlin away. Hell I did all that to my EB and the headgasket held on right up the point that motor shat a valve... and it copped a PROPER hiding.

What I don't get is many people who buy their first E series are young. Not long out of school, so surely you know how to write !

Does sound like plugs, leads, coil pack or valves.

Not really brake booster, but perhaps check the towbar as well.
