Take it to an air con shop that knows what they're smoking, sounds like the seals in the air con system are dead. They can be replaced most of the time, then gas it up. The people who gassed it last time should have pressure tested it

Get it looked at properly. There's o-rings in there which wear out, and leak gas. Could be the condenser or drier or rad under the dash or anything really!

You don't specify what "joins" you think are leaking. Everyone always hopes its as easy as an o-ring but not usually the case. Visible glow gas/oil is a good sign means you'll be able to find and repair the leak easily, I highly doubt the compressor will even be engaging because it sounds like there's no gas left. See if you can get some parts yourself to fix the obvious leaks, get a new receiver dryer and take it to get vacced down and regassed.

the leaks are coming from the joins of the rubber hose and metal ends.i was thinking maybe enzed could put new joins on it or something?.

That usually requires the hose and pipe be replaced.
Not a cheap fix.

BBQ is right, if the crimps are leaking a whole new hose will need to be made, new ferrules, fittings, rubber hose etc. maybe try get one or two from a wreck that don't look to be leaking? That's the tightass way out lol

Speedy Air Spares has replacement hoses for a decent price.
