Hi Guys,

I just bought my Mrs a Fiesta Metal this arvo - some limited edition (250 in Aust). http://www.ford.com.au/fiesta-metal?site=FOA&WT.ac=Hotspot_LCS_FiestaMetal_Home

It looks great and does the job and most importantly the Mrs likes it.

My question is....if Ford are labelling the car as limited edition of 250 in Aust, why is there not a "25/250" badge or some id on the car labelling it a limited edition?

Is this something I can request from the dealership?

Doubt it. They only seem to do that for models that they or the public/fans would consider special.

Sounds more like a sales package than a limited run build.

I love how well Ford advertised this. I read it in a 2cm x 2cm column article in Motor magazine.

Can I ask how you found out about it?

Ford could almost put build number plaques on EcoBoosts at the rate they're selling....

The Mrs has been looking for cars for the last few months and noticed a Limited Edition on the Ford website.
She was looking at the Cruise SRi, Polo GTI, and the Fiesta. I told her that I booked a test drive this morning and if she loves it straight away to put a deposit down. I get a phone call that she loved it!

What is with dealerships, it took like 3hrs to sign all the docs, test drive, leather and car shine, tint, accessories before I got out of the place!
The couple of shirtlifers, I mean Salesmen, at Brighton Ford were helpful at least.

You let the dealer do the car shine and tint? No wonder they were helpful...

You believe wrong.

Was referring to the Polo GTI as above.
It was ruled out as for some reason they are only available with DSG, and the mrs refuses to buy an auto car, regardless of how good it is.
I was reading that the new 2012 Polo GTI (twin charged) is just as quick as the Golf GTI (6.9 sec 0-100).

Yeah just as quick but they have shit parts and my mate at vw works on fixing them all day
