Hello all,
Basically my name is Paul I work on the retail side of Repco at Caloundra on the sunshine coast, on the 27th on this month Repco as a company are trying to break the Guinness World attempt for the most cars washed over a 8 hour period.
We are still getting info together for the day so I may not have all the answers at the moment BUT
As a quick run down we are getting the girl guides to wash all the cars over the 8 hour period. The cost to have your car washed is $5 per car.
Now as one of the rules are we need car clubs to get involved.
If any sunshine coast members are interested in helping out on the day shifts are worked 2 people per shift at a 2 hour periods, basically one person as a official timer and another to record it on a hand help cam corder that will be supplied.
There will be slightly more to do but that's about it (at the moment).

As a thanks you will receive a 20% off voucher for your time, but being a boosted member I am always happy to help out a fellow member.
I don't know how many members are on the Coast there are, but if we can get some cars involved maybe we can have a small boosted display or something.

Saw a sign at Repco Clayton the other day, there doing the same carwash things aswell on the same date, are many Repco's doing it??

Yeah. Its done as a company. But only the bigger and refurbished stores

*shrinks away in exclusion* for SE Melbourne guys (which is a lot of us), you can go to Clayton as mentioned before, I believe dandenong (Bennett st), Hallam, Narre Warren and Cranbourne.

Display boxes HO sent out to assemble for the car wash lol I got mine yesterday so if you don't know what I mean... Just... Wait... Lol

Assemble a cube. Each side has flaps that you put glue on. Very straightforward. The cardboard is too heavy for a glue stick. Tape looks bad from the outside. Have fun.

ok guys. the car wash is this Saturday, so get into your local repco and get your car washed. $5 per car.
and all proceeds go to the girl guides.
