just wondering if your car is registered as auto and you convert it to manual, would you have to notify your insurance company? eg if you have a crash and they check that its auto on forms but been converted?

cheers

just give them a call and most will change it over for you, being the xr it should be easy as it would of been a option from the factory

my old eb ghia i was told to find another insurer. obviously cgu don't like modified cars
as on their records a eb2 fairmont ghia couldnt be optioned as a manual. yet racv insured it without issues. only bonus was racv was cheaper too :D

Yeah, as said above, if it wasnt optioned to come like that from the factory, some places wont insure it. XR will be fine though.

Had that issue with my old EB, as they didnt have records of a 91 GL wagon having a V8 apparently :/
