Hi my 1992 falcon EB 5 litre started leaking water at the rear of the engine , seeing there is only a hands gap between the engine and firewall it is hard to see where it is leaking without removing the intake manifold (i think thats what it is ) ,,, i found a hose clamp sitting on top where the gearbox joins the motor about the size of my small finger (one way of describing it) but wether that hose clamp came off there or was dropped before i dont know... the water comes out fast as i can pour it in and hopefully i didnt damage the engine driving home as i kept stopping every few miles and topping up with water...

I had the same problem a few weeks ago. It could be your heater core or there's a pipe that runs around the firewall above the trans, most likely that.

I was lucky mine was a LPG coolant hose had rubbed through at the back of the head.

The upper intake comes off quite easily.

Just remember to mark where each vacuum line goes too.

I have a vote on the heater pipes or the throttle body warming system thingo.

Block that throttle body warming thing off while you've got the intake off.
