XR6 Turbo BA Mis-firing

My XR6 BA Turbo is still mis-firing after I had the ignition coils changed and also the fuel filter.
I was advised by my mechanic that the spark plugs didn't need to be changed yet.
Another mechanic seems to think that a sensor could be the issue.
Are there any other suggestions that could lead to the car mis-firing?
The car is an automatic.

Does it miss fire on boost or normal driving? Under load?

The car mis-fires during normal driving, car doesn't have a tow-ball so no mis-firing under a load.
Was thinking of taking it to Ford, they may have better scanners to hook up to the computer to hopefully pin-point the issue.
Doesn't matter if the car is in bumper-bumper traffic or if I was doing 80ks, will just mis-fire all of a sudden.
Thought changing the igntion coils would solve the issue but not to be.

Lol
When Nut asked about under load, its just mean acceleration. not towing. But yeah could be any number of things man. Could be a fuel issue, spark, vacuum. Common faults are coils, plugs which you already have covered, hopefully your mechanic checked your plugs. You fuel filter is new which is good, and hopefully he checked your fuel flow as the fuel pump could be slighty low on flow. Also I have seen many many times is a blocked gauze in the fuel regulator. And the other main one being the inlet manifold gasket. And worse case scenario would be a computer/wiring problem. A Ford dealer should be able to sort it all out for you though

Really apprecaite the replies.
Sorry about the confusion, the car does mis-fire while I am accelerating.
Cool, I think I'll take it to Ford and hopefully they can sort it out.
Thanks again all.

I'd be checking plugs, the ceramic might be cracked and that will cause an intermittent miss.
Personally I'd remove the top cover and turbo piping off the top. As long as the turbo isn't effected.
Put car in drive and stall it up until it misses. Disconnect ignition coils one by one to find out what cylinder is missing under load.
Focus on that one wether it be coil or plug, injector, low compression. Valve not seating correctly all the time.
Spray carby clean around the inlet manifold.
Very simple checks that will cost sweet **** all but time.
Cheers

Also with most sensors they should log a code saying they are at least out of range on their parameters.
So any scan tool should be able to read a DTC
