1964 model here (XM), so I am 49.
A Ford lover rather than an E series lover.
That said, I have at least one of each model, EA through to EL.

[R-Unit]

65yo. Two rides.
EB Ghia 5L. Done 273K. Engine quiet as! Previous owner-50something. Bought July 2012.
VQ Stato 5L. Done 369K. Engine sounds 23years old. Previous owner-20something. Bought May 2011.

Both Dual fuel. Both receive 3 oil changes a year, and only quality fluids. Including only
getting 98RON, on the petrol side of things.
I drive both like what they are: V8's. It means I like the sound (in 2nd), at 4000RPM!
I've done 22K in the Ghia. 48K in the Stato. "Never overheated them!!!"

The Ghia went to the workshop yesterday, to be checked for a suspect head gasket.
Yes, I like my E series Baby. But love? When I look out the window, there's a Stato in my face, not a Ghia!
