Boosted Falcon

Got to thinking the other day, in an n/a engine there is always a greater or lesser amount of vacuum in the inlet ports so this would encourage oil to come down the valve guides and make sure the stems are lubed. In fact you have to have o rings to make sure too much oil doesn't come down.

What if you are running LOTS of boost? Would it ever get to the point that enough oil doesn't get to the valve stems, especially the hot exhaust valves that would also have lots of pressure present when on boost? Or is it just a time thing - it's alright just as long as you don't run boost continually. But then, they can and do run boost for long periods in some piston engined aeroplanes and diesels.

Thinking too hard??? People having been thinking hard about engines for over 100 years. That's why they are so much better now than they were way back then. Thinking hard gets you places. Helps you to make stuff nobody or almost nobody else has. Then you can feel cool.
