Boosted Falcon

Hi all,

Just recently got a flash tuner, and I'm having an over boost issue. Mods are hdi fmic, k&n panel air filter, 4" s/s xforce turbo back exhaust system, 72lbs injectors and my turbo is factory stock . What's happening is, when I'm in 6th gear with about half to 7/10 throttle I am seeing 18-20psi on my boost gauge @ about 3000-4000rpm (I don't try to push it once I see the boost gauge go of the scale). I thought the stock turbo couldn't push much past 15psi? Another thing is, it doesn't seem to be running bad in anyway....if I didn't install a boost gauge I would be none the wiser.

You need a better actuator.

Who tuned it?

Yeah stock turbos max out at 15oddpsi, but that's low load full revs, when your down low it could go to 25+psi then taper off to 15psi once the load dies off.

Wow 25psi? I bought the tuner and injectors from bpr on ebay

Yeah mail order tunes... You're gunna have a bad time.

I'd get it tuned before you throw a rod

Has there been many problems with mail order tunes? It's not detonating...

I've tired to re-flash with about 50% duty for the waste gate! but it seems to flash back to stock psi???I'll only get 11 psi max

Mail order tunes with your mods are no good imo.
