hey guys im doing a drift Cortina with a fg motor in it I have a full loom computer what do I need too do too get it running I appoligize for bad spelling and grammer as im not real good with it so please bear with me . I have been told this is where I should ask

just wanna know what I have too do too get the motor running like I said I have a full loom and computer and motor just need some help with knowing wat ill need to do too get it running any help would be much appreciated
like will I need a chip will I need to get the smartlock bypassed ect

Take the ecu to somone that can turn off the security.
Depends where you are some ford workshops will do it and others will say you cant turn it off.

ok sweet as no probs is it only ford that can do it ?
and what problems would this cause for me im trying too learn as much as I can also

Your question is VERY vauge if you ask more direct questions you will get more answers. You will need a dyno/performance shop to disable the ecu security not a ford dealer.

im not angry or upset I know very limited stuff about electronics and computers so that's why im trying too find out what I need too do I have a fg motor and loom and ecu im wanting too put it in a Cortina I need too know what too do too get the motor too fire up as I don't know what ill have too do . for example
bypass smartlock ?
get after market ecu ?
power up loom and make sure its earthed and it will work ?

Searching for threads of X/E-Series with B/F-Series conversions should give you a better idea of what questions to ask.

Yeah I meant build threads here. Use Advanced Search to narrow it down to only the build threads. I'm guessing the XF ones will be of more help than E-Series.
