Already posted this in Driveline section but posting here anyway, someone else might even find the thread useful oneday hopefully

Hey guys, I bought a set of SCA 3000KG jack stands today as I need them to jack up my ED Falcon so I can replace my front and rear springs. Anywho when it comes to jacking cars up I'm quite cautious, and I am wondering whether there are recommended points for placing jack stands on the car? at this point I have been considering placing them where the jacking points on the sill are. Also, with a trolley jack, is it safe to jack the front of my car up via that frame behind the sump (k frame?), and as for the rear is it fine to jack it up from the centre of the diff?

Thank you and sorry for being a n00b again haha

anywhere along the chassis is good.
don't use the points on the sill, they tend to bend :)
and don't use anywhere along the floor pan itself, they also bend.
the K frame is also ok but make sure its a meaty section like where the k frame bolts to the chassis, the middle part can bend.
centre of the diff is also fine.

Never seen the middle bit bend?!?!?!?!?!??

The bit behind the sump is fine, the little square section bit in front is not.

Ah thankyou guys :) , The chassis is the sturdy looking tubular girder things that run along either side of the car of course right? :P

Yeah. Jack the front up from rear of k frame.
Stands under chassis rail.
Raise rear by jacking up from diff centre. Stands just before the rear trailing arm mounts.

Cheers
