Ok so I'm done with my motor in my el and would like to put a replacement in, my mechanic said he'd charge $600-$700 to put another motor in is this a good price? I'd be willing to pay someone on here to do it if they could for abit cheaper.

600-700 is about right. Usually the turn around is about 5-8 hours depending on who's doing it. That's in and out turn key.
All depends on the mechanic but some charge anywhere from 70-120 an hour.

Sounds a fair price mate.
I'd make sure he fits new coolant hoses, manifold gaskets as well tho while he's at it. Save some heartache in the long run. Only cost a few hundred extra

It's always a good idea to get the sump done.
