Charcoal canister plumbed up??

Postby Qwik6 » April 1st, 2015, 12:33 pm

Guys with aftermarket ECUs, is your charcoal canisters still plumbed up?
If not to the intake manifold, is it still connected from the fuel tank to the canister?
Question is can I just block the line from the fuel tank so no vapour is coming through? Or is that the tanks only way to breathe?
Just looking to tidy up the engine bay abit and remove the hard pipe over the passenger side shock tower to the canister.
Cheers guys.

Yeah mine hasn't been connected to the manifold for years, but am wanting to remove the rest to tidy the engine bay up abit.
Some say that it's the only vent for the fuel system and a small hole should be drilled into the fuel cap to vent the system instead.

I re routed glorias through one of the little holes above the chassis rail and into the manifold. Can't be seen and it's all working as per factory.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.

Mine hasn't been connected to the manifold for years, so hiding the lines doesn't really help my situation.
