j3 chip rev hang

Postby Atlas600 » April 24th, 2015, 7:31 pm

hey guys.
I originally made this post on fordmods but got told to post here...
okay so with a standard ecu my car runs fine, resistor modded does not rev hang etc. When I plug this j3 chip in which I got 're tuned with no success, unplug the ac, the car rev hangs when changing gear. But yet the car idles perfectly.
Now if I unplug the ISC .. and adjust the idle screw to 800rpm the car will not rev hang at all. (Note I have changed almost all sensors on the engine and have done intake and exhaust manifold gaskets. The engine is untouched and the tune is only for 98 octane and to changeover to manual .
any ideas anyone?

I would say resistor mod is not needed now and is probably confusing the ecu.
when you have a j3 you just put a manual tune on it.
so start with getting rid of resistor putin a manual bin and Def On it then if it's still doing it look at dashpot.
but if you post this in the ti performance thread Jason will sort you out.

Ah no but see here is the problem. Jason and I already tried many things to no avail. It has a manual bin on it. I have tried cutting the resistors out and it made no difference.
