Trying to find a car I owned some time ago.
Posted: April 28th, 2015, 12:42 amIn 2005 I sold my EB Fairmont, which seems like finding a needle in a haystack.. But it was a 1991 EB, V8 Manual Fairmont Ghia with part leather trim (all factory).. I recall back in the day the Ford historian confirmed only 30 were ever made in its configuration. (I wrote to ford).
The car was sold in Canberra (in 2005), and had nearly 300,000km on it, or may have already clocked over, I forget. I'm going to guess the car is in pretty poor shape now, but I have a silly dream of having it back to become a Summernats entry.
It had a tell tale EA Bonnet.. but the ford place I bought it was adamant that it was factory delivered with the EA bonnet. (I was the second owner and the Ford dealer had sold it the first time.)
I tried a rego search on the plates it had when I sold it, but there's no car registered to those plates in the ACT now.
Has anyone tried to find cars they once owned? I do have a reasonably large collection of pictures too.
I know my chances are pretty slim...
