Things you wish E-Series vehicles came out with...

Postby Commando » March 18th, 2008, 3:47 pm

Crap thread I know, but the aircon is dead in the office & it's a friggen sauna. So it's time to make a... crap thread.

Anyway the gist of it is things you wish E-Series falcons came out with (or didn't come out with), can be big (like my first point) or small (like my 2nd point).

I wish that

* The EB & EL GTs came with a 351w
* E-Series ventilation systems had an option which covered both the face and the windscreen at the same time
* BTRs had a 1st gear as short as a TH700 1st gear

Well that's killed a bit of time for me :D

Have you got a lisp?

I wish that the AIT/AVO/whatever turbos and GT's were full time models. Also the GT's shoulda been three-five-ones with the option of a blower, ala HO spec. Bigger wheels and brakes as standard.

All models should have come with a trip computer and driving light's apart from the GLI models
and there should have been a standard production turbo model. (such as BA XR6 turbo)

I wish the five oh's used the '68 mexican block cast with a roller setup and no H.O. motors at minimum GT-40 heads with an explorer manifold.

Cup holders on EA/B/D

Better diff ratios for performance models.

I'm with cup holders in EA-ED series. ;)

In my fairmont ED Ghia, the electric windows go all the way down by itself when you push button down momentarily but wished it did the same for up! :(

Console lid to be shorter in EF so big cups/bottles would actually fit in without it leaning like the tower of pisa!

The cluster in EF to be easier to get out to change blasted tripometer globe! :x

And lastly, longer lasting gaskets!

A factory turbo 6 model.

Something like a EA 'S Turbo' with about 170kW
EB XR6T 180kW
ED XR6T 180kW
EF XR6T 190kW
EL XR6T 195kW

I also reckon a slightly detuned version of this motor made optional for Fairmont Ghias.

I know those power figures are above that of the V8s, but who cares? :P

Imagine if they came out in turbo though, so many wankers would drive them. Oh wait.... :P

4 auto down power windows.
Cupholders that work.
Tamper proof rear lights so clear lights can't be put in.
OBDII capable ECU's.
In-built flux capacitors
Gull-wing doors.
Alloy 427 smallblocks.
50 piston calipers and 400mm rotors
24" wheels
nawwwwsssss
More cigarette lighters, so everyone can do blues brothers impersonations.
In-built esky.
A dome light that would actually let you see into the console and the cupholder.
A rear view mirror that couldn't double for an aircraft carrier landing strip.
Line locker.
Spotlights on the mirrors like cop cars.

-The EA should have been DOHC and there should have been a factory turbo model.
-Stronger gearboxes
-They should be more slammable too, put ultralows in a falcon and it's still too bloody high.
-Blackoak ECU's (or whatever the BA's use) so you can edit em.

I'm happy with the rest of it though.

.......makes me wonder......i'd probably be driving a factory turbo manual EA S-pack or a factory turbo EL XR6.......

if the e-series did come out factory turbo, it would be like the vl all over again, alot of wankers in stock ones would hoon around thinkin their top shit.

but factory turbo would be nice

also

-no cfi 3.9, just 4.0 mpi since the ea
-no 4WD spec stock height
-atleast vt size brakes
-cupholders of a decent size (ba spec perhaps)
and
-lockas come stock 8-)
