Master and slave cylinder matching

Postby TI5650 » January 3rd, 2016, 5:48 pm

so im planning an engine swap atm and part of it is converting the car from cable clutch to hydraulic. i have worked out how to do it but i need to know if i can use any master cylinder with any slave cylinder as my idea will work perfectly with a hilux master cylinder because it had a built in reservoir. the gearbox is a ba/bf manual turbo for reference and it is going into an XH Ute. general theory says that if the master cylinder has a bigger fluid push per stroke then the slave it should work. i would like to hear peoples opinions. and if anyone knows of a product that does this without custom fabrication let me know.
cheers.

If the pedal box is anything like eseries you'll be able to bolt the BA master and pedal assembly on the side without a huge amount of drama.

Look at your car. Now back to mine. Now back to yours. Now back to mine. Sadly, yours isn't mine. But if you stopped buying dodgy cars and bought an ED, yours could be like mine. Look down. Back up. Where are you? ...You're on BoostedFalcon, reading the signature your signature could be like! Anything is possible when your car looks like my car... I'm on a computer.
