The display illumination has gone out I presume a globe may be the offender How do you replace this?

Easy way is to take the switch cover off where the areal and rear demister is and put your finger in the and pop out the trip computer. Change the globe an push it back in. Done...

Nah mate just pull the dash 'fascia' off. About 4 screws, then unplug the boot release/fuel door etc. It'll be held in by 3 or 4 bolts which are immediately obvious and easy to get to.

Once its out, the globes just pull out with the holders, pop a new one in and done :)

Any questions just ask
