Got notification for my 3rd party payout. $4800, i was expecting 1500-2000 for the red barsted. Ripper, now i need to think hard on spending the $7000 odd i have on a turbo and shit, or get me a 180/silvia...

I'll probally do it up, the Nissan just sounds good... but i could spend 7000 odd on a SR Silvia or 180 and have no cahs for improvement or i could spend 7000 on the ED.

...Not to mention if i had the sivia i'lld feel the need for RB power!

I see E series Falcons as punching above their own weight, they are pure underdog status. Keep with the Falcon and spend cash on it- it'll be more enjoyable than a pre-made jap turbo that'll draw "ricer" comments to yourself.

Strawberry face is an S13 180 with an S15 200(AUS)/180(Jap) front isn't it? Either way, I reckon Sil80's are pretty horn. Put an RB20DET in it, 5spd, rip the interior out and drift it! Paint it white with a black roof and bonnet, then buy [PNDA-LOL] plates. Crash it into an AE86 Sprinkler and you will be a legend

Japs know nuffin, they haven't developed any part of the E-Series ever (lo-fucking-l) and they have never developed a turbo. Australian leaf springs in 2008 is where it's at..

Lol no shit, this exact same thing happened to me almost - in my EL Ghia! It was a while ago, ORSMEB was in the car. We were heading up Gatwick and the 86 was doing gutter to gutters pretty much outta control with trucks either side of the road. He saw me at the last minute and missed me by metres.

Lo that one thing, Jap tuff is soft Compared to our aus stuff! (even then the ED is weak )

180 are quite sexy but, my heart says "keep the falcon", my wang says "go the silvia..."

I'm going to cheack out a LSD today (checks time) and i enquired about sway bars, prob get a set of whitelign's for 500 replace the bushes with some poly ones, look at getting it even lower, paint, well im in the smash repair trade so that nothing, and the turbo, snort here i come.

They go pretty damn good, they don't need much power to be fast either. One of my mates has one and it ran a 13.2 with only 170rwkw.

I like the Onevia's (S13 with 180 front) more than the Sileighty's personally.

Nothing wrong with an SR20. Bloody good engine. I wouldn't say you maxed it out when buying and upgrading within the $7000. You could spend shitloads more on it!!!

The 180's/Silvias are a good platform. Light, brake pretty well even with the pathetic SR turbo brakes, handle well and love to be driven on the throttle. As needforspeed said, really don't need too much power either - mine ran a 13.6 with only 136rwkw and it was basically stock.

There's a huge aftermarket for them as well, so performance parts are readily available new and secondhand.

S13 = Crap
180 = Crap

I agree that they certainly aren't the prettiest things around, and the image that goes with them these days isn't all that flattering!

I'd get one. They are little, rwd and make good power. You cant lose.

Agreed with above ^^.....But for a daily they suck. Their seats are the equivilant of sitting on a milk crates and the interiors overall are just cheap and bland. Not to mention you will get pulled over by every second cop*

To elaborate, it seems the going rate rfor a good s13 ranges from 6000-up...180's on the other hand arte a bit more. The ceaper s13's seem to be CA18's, i dont want that!

Don't write off the CA18DET, it'll still be quicker then an E-Series
They are only shit compared to SRs.
Can still get decent power out of them.

$12k puts out 197rwkw.....would probably run a 12 in one of them.
