Urgent Wolf 3d V4 Ecu Question - Pin Code Security Feature!

Hi All,

Really hoping someone's able to urgently help. Appreciate any information anyone's able to offer!

My car's fitted with a Wolf ECU. This has a pin code security feature - basically you are only able to set the code once - to change it the ECU must be sent back to the manufacturer.

I was of the understanding that the pin code security had never been activated, and as I had someone break into the car last night, I thought I'd better set it up.

Unfortunately it looks like the feature has been activated by one of the previous owners, and I am now not able to start the car - as I do not know the code.

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone know any way around this?

Due to the nature of my question, I would appreciate if any advice could be taken to PM please.

Thanks,

Justin.

That woulda been my first thing on the list to do. Tristan, Josh? or whoever had the car before you.

Thanks mate - I actually asked him a few months back, and it hadn't been enabled when he owned the car. I have left a message for him though just in case. I've also tried Josh (eboost) the guy I bought it off, but he hadn't activated it either.

The missing link is Josh (JD86) who EBOOST Josh bought the car off. I've PM'd him on AFF and left a message for him as well.

From having a read of the Wolf owners manual, I'm pretty well convinced there's no way around it, but thought I'd ask just in case.

On the upside, looks like Wolf (AEM) are actually in Bayswater, so hopefully they can have a look tomorrow for me. Attempted to pull the ECU out tonight, but I think it's screwed to the kick panel from the inside of the case, and it was too dark, and I was too pissed to persevere!

Thanks,

Justin.

The brackets are strange. If its like my old one the screws bolt to the panel then the grooves in the bottom of the ECU slide over the bolt heads. The bolt heads are rectangular.

If you reach behind the panel you should be able to undo the nuts to loosen them enough to slide the ECU off the bolt heads.

Thanks Dan, appreciate the advice. From the look I had at it in the dark, that does sound about right. I'll go back to where I left the car in the morning, and will give that a try!

Thanks for the advice Dan, those brackets are damn fiddly!

Code has now been reset by AEM (Wolf) and I quickly threw it back in the car - haven't even put the brackets back in or the dash back together.
