I'd rather drive a stock EB Futura that was in good nick than an FG of any description, especially if I was pocketing the 50 large difference in price.

Agreed. I hated it from the moment I saw the first MMS pics. Looks tacky and class-less.

Joe, the ute is the best looking out of the lot. The VE ute looks old compared to the FG ute range.

I think it needs a bigger intercooler, will that one be adequate?

I reckon Pink racoon eyes would look good on an E series.

I prefer the looks of the VE range over the FG range too.

I lane split past a black VE Senator or something today. It was mint.

There's just something NQR about the rear door & rear guards with the FGs...

I'm betting a VT/VX owner will beat us to the punch with Racoon Eyes

They changed from wrapping the rear door openings around the rear wheels, apparently it looks more modern. Probably because BMW do it now. Apparently wrapping the opening around the wheelarch is limo style, and was a trademark EA feature according to some magazine I read.

I saw an FG XR6 today in the local dealer, one thing that got me is the lower part of the front bar seems to stick out more than the 'bumper' if you know what I mean, kinda like a new Integra Type-R. I await to see much damage occuring to them.

By far the worst aspect though is the higher centre console, it looks like it'll be much harder to cop a feel of the passenger than in previous models.

Oh shit yes, I'm not denying that :P . By the looks of the release pics, the GT rears look a lot better (fatter?) from the 1/4 front angle with the bigger wing.

Looking at the pics again, it seems the rear of the front wheelarches tuck back in a fair bit, so water/dirt can get picked up from the road and coat the whole side of the car in shit.

Apart from the engines and making them cheaper to build, I'm starting to wonder where Ford's design money went.

It went to the advertisers to come up with awesome adverts that make you think of other products that have nothing to do with cars...

I have the G6E Turbo as my desktop at work. Drives the boss mad, but meh, it's my computer.
I want one. Again I personally prefer the "luxury" spec over the "sports" spec. But that's not anything new. ;)

Does anyone else think the GT-E looks kinda boring?
And panda eyes are crap.

Gimme a VE GTS any day. I love the taillights on those things.

You realise the EA styling was pretty heavily influenced by European cars?

It's a new car, not many of us can afford a decent one, then modify it. Does anyone remember when the EA and EF came out? The EA was some wierd plastic fantastic euro lookin thing, and the EF was wierd as hell with no grille and tail-lights that looked like eyes staring back at you. I don't think many people think like that these days.

I reckon. Still undecided so far, but the cars in the flesh look way way better than in any of the pics. They seem to look chunkier than the pics show. Rear still looks like a late model liberty though.
