Hey guys
Headed down with EBOOST tonite to CPRW, now i no i aint boosted, but i have a EBGT mock in full street trim n/a i6 that has just made me a very happy boi lol (no nos either)
Slapped on some semi slicks, got a 14.0, 13.9, then my 13.7, and i was hitting the rev limiter a decent distance away from the finish, so i beilive if i had a higher rev limiter it might of busted a 13.6
I'ts running 177rwkw on a STOCK TICKFORD ECU btw

now im not hiding nothing from no one, (not sure if neone might think that), but i got STOCK HEAD, only shaved, NOT ported & polished, ACL bottom end, wade 1673 cam, full 3 inch exhaust, 3.7's, EA-T5, bored out TB to 70mm, au injectors, edxr6 auto ecu, 300kpa FPR, and i ran the filter out the bonnet
so yea just thought id let u guys know...ill also scan the slip tommorow when i get time (if i get time) and if i can somehow upload the video i will.

Damn that's really impressive! OED mate, it's on now!
What's your idea of a "semi-slick" Grechie? ET street radials?

Good shit, must have been a flying 60' to go that quick under 100mph
Shows the gains to be had when you take that extra step to slicks I guess.
Harsh on the poor old T5 though LOL
Out of interest what tyres and size were they?

Its going to be tough... Ever since fitting the BBM, traction is a MAJOR problem. The throttle response i have is spasticly touchy. I have to get my lokka fitted then I will go back out.

OED666, my 60 footers where all in the 1.9's

oh every time, it axle tramped like a whore...
Ned, yea i seen that, i was getting cut at all the comp cars that would friggin blow and drop shit on the track lol
The semi slicks were a 205/50/R15 and to be honest i dont know much about them but they look like a normal street tyre, ie see the pic

and MMD, as for future mods, there are none....yet lol
If nething it would be to remove the rev limiter ie piggy back ecu, seeing as i hit the rev limiter at 5300rpm a fair distance b4 the end.

You run that filter everyday?
Congrats on the time, i reckon you could do it with the filter under the bonnet too.

Galapagos had a cheap way of changing rev limits, that might be the budget way to go for ya. Not sure how much more power you'd get from above the XR6 rev limit though.
Seeing as the head's been shaved, what kind of compression you running?

What brand are the semi slicks?
Are they a drag radial or just an r comp tyre???
No wonder you are running out legs in 4th with those tyres too, 205/50 is a tiny profile.

thats fukn tuff.....13.7 n/a
hit it with the gassssss
an drop the gears an it'll see at-least a 12.3 without the tramping maybe a 12.0
my cars got a 12.9 in it with a new clutch an slix on a god hookup.
whats the rev limiter cut in at? I've had mine out to the bad side of 5700 on the nitrous in 3rd an i rekn if i didn't hit 4th, it would of done damage

yeah there is more in the launch oed u were getting 1.9's on street tyres am i right?
and there is more in it with raised rev limiter and maybe even more grip or fix axle tramp.
i recon it could possibly crack a 13.5 with these minor changes as it was hitting rev limiter far before the finish.
ahh well still a very impressive time.
cheers josh.

Farkk that's a mint time, good stuff!
Should be able to get quicker than 1.9 with slicks, I got a few 1.9's with my 17" Wanli's...could never get the rest of the run right

Keen to see how it goes once you sort out the other things you want to.

Wanli's arent too bad for the price though... cheap, and sticky when you do a good skid. I am keen to get back out on the track.
Its OED BTW...

Congratulations! Can't wait to see the vid

Your 205/50s will increase your diff ratio by approx 1.1, so 3.7s will be "virtually" 4.11s with those tyres. Was it running out of puff towards the end (ignoring the cutout)?
Or, did it feel like you were changing gears too quickly at the start?
A simple tyre profile change can alter your launch & finishing mph greatly

Commando, the car didnt feel like it was running out of puff lol it never does, unless its 40 degrees haha,
Paul from CVE when he dynod and played with the dizzy recently, said it most likely would of produced 180rwkw if i didnt have the cut out at 5300rpm (it made 177rwkw right on the rev limiter) ... I'm certain if i had a bit more revs it would of produced a better time.
Either way im happy with the time and probly wont mod it any further lol. (unless theres a rev limiter removal trick)
The video i got of my time is a hefty 76MB, if someone can host it, ill send it to ya Via msn or something.
cheers

wat format is it in? wat progy u use of is it jus straight off the cam....
if u convert it to wmv an make it 320x280 itll shrink it down to about 5-6k
thats how i get all mine up, u lose quality, but fuk...its the net,

Grechie, if you upload to photobucket it will shrink it considerably. I uploaded a 14mb video which ended up coming out as 600kb
http://shiftkits.com.au/speedlimiter.aspx <-- I'm unsure if this allows the injectors to keep on working or not (I presume so), but it may be worth finding out through these guys

Dandynights, straight off EBOOST's digi cam its a .mod file, with XVID and DIVX installed, it runs in WMP.
Commando, i tried uploading in PhotoBucket, but it said the extension file wasnt supported, so ill need to get a proggy to convert, any recomendations ?
Also i contacted those shift kit guys, hopefully that thing can help me out !

No idea on programs sorry

Good luck with the rev limiter remover! BTW try & find a circuit on fordmods, I'm tipping there'd be a home-job style rev limiter remover on there.

LPG

no fuel injector cutout for you to worry about. Try the same on petrol, you should hit the limiter

I have a camera that makes mod files, they are actually MPEG files.
So just right-click the file and rename it whatever.mpg instead of whatever.mod
