number plate ideas

Postby BLCKED » June 5th, 2008, 11:17 pm

hey guys need a new plate idea for my new project (project svo 5 litre)

im reshelling my eb ghia and putting all the good bits into a clean ea.

when i get it registerd im going to invest in personalised plates, never had them before so i figured its the cool thing to do. any one here good at thinking up names or ideas? im really bad at it.

going to be a ea svo (mock), tough na 5 litre, burnout car mainly bit of drag, and good stereo.

and ideas be great.

all i have come up with are:

ea v8
svo 5.0
ea5ltr
lumpe8
whypsi
ybuya4
70mm t/b and maf, extractors and exhaust, 2500 stall, stage 2 shift kit, ultra lows, pioneer/clarion stereo.

I suck at plate ideas, I'm still trying to think of some for the Sprint.
If someone posts a good idea in this thread, I'll probably steal it off you

You realize you will have to have it engineered as the EA's didn't have a V8 option. Might be better off with an EB.

id swap, most likely using the id from my eb on it. or off a different eb/ed

or i will look at engineer, wich ever is cheaper at the time

It'd be pretty piss easy to engineer, brakes are identical to EB-ED 5Ls, you'd be using 5L K Frame.
Engineer might not like modded 5L but.

yeah thats the thing,

everything from the eb is coming out practiclly

so yeah using the v8 k frame and mounts, not sure if i have to change the steering rack.

i really want a gt steering rack a guy was selling one few weeks ago not sure if its gone.

my mechanic said engineers should be pretty easy but i.d swap is also easy aswell, 1 number and 2 tags.

WTF, the VPlates site has changed, and they've limited the amount of times you can try different plates :(
Good thing you can check general issue plates now though.

I like LYTMUP.

So I bought them.

Nawt.

Rebirth idea is shithouse. Don't worry about engineer's certificate till you get busted. Even then cops and RW tester will suck a55 at knowing whether it's an EA or EB or whatever more than likely, or wont have the information to identify the year / model 5L V8 was brought in to production..

In other words..

I don't know fuk all about wiring rly. All I suggest is you completely switch the looms over. You wont have to touch any wires in the sense of cut and shut - just jam it all in and plug & play it.
