Hey all,
just got a set of EL Ghia trims from EBGT302 yesterday - were looking a little worse for wear, but now looking pretty schmick!
nothing a bit of glue and elbow grease cant fix.
the drivers side map pocket is missing its carpet and is all nakey. it needs to be re carpeted obviously and im thinking that ill get all 4 doors re trimmed but in black. anyone got this done? reccomendations of places? thoughts on it?
so ya know, the trims have the grey leather door cards, and woodgrain, fronts have the ghia badges and all 4 have the map pocket lights.

Did you just want to redo the carpet or trim the whole lot black. If you wana just do the carpet, head to autobarn and grab some black carpet from the audio bit, should be up to the task.

bugger - just took them to megatrim in dandy. $140 just for the map pockets

$140!! That joint is hopeless with pricing, I wanted 2 side bolsters retrimmed (NL to smaller EL size) and I had the leather for it, they wanted around $180. They charge $80 an hour for labour.

Just have a crack yourself, Ive had mine off to re-gle certain parts, its just a flat piece anyway. Would be able to get it done with 1-2m or carpet.

but it means i gotta cut the carpet to the right size and the glue will come off...
not 100% impressed by the price, but meh...what else am i gonna spend my money on? the fiance? nah, no chance

Map pockets just add extra weight to slow the car down, leave them out all together...

Its not that hard, mine came up alrite. You can even get self adhesive carpet from some places. Just make sure both surfaces are clean and use shitloads of glue and it will be fine!

i got em, i like em, theyre going in.
i picked em up from the retrimmer too. not altered. will do it meself. got 2 weeks of nothing coming up, not much else to do, so why not!

To be honest, I don't mind that. Maybe you could trim the other removable part where the door handle mounts to in black leather to match and some crome handles would be nice too.

yeah, only thing is that im paying for my fiances 21st that she doesnt know about, so no more anything for about 1.5 months.
obviously she knows about the bday, just not the party
chromies are on the way, in time.
need a major servie first too. was gonna do the back of the pockets black, but too much like hard work. lol.
maybe black, but grey matches the grey leather console lid. although black.....black is always good....

like the black at the bottom tho, an def. trin handels in black leather
