hey all! as some of you know i am going to sell my car. but i am unsure on what its worth and what i am likely to get for it.
sorry if this is in wrong section or that but not sure where to put it.

the cars in the latest issue of street fords mag.

for those of you who dont know it its a 1992 eb series 2. list of mods is a mile long but heres a short list.

t5 manual
new heavy duty clutch
3.45 lsd or 4.11 mini spool (i have 1 in car and 1 in shed)

I have no idea where I would price that, all I know is it will be more than your average or VGC e-series that's for sure.

i was thinking 6-7ish
dported had similar level of mods. possibly better engine and better interior.
also newer model
it sold for 9 i think??

It also has a Lumpy as fuk cam, awesome car.

Its a beautiful car but still not worth a shitload to your average joe.

I'd put $7-8k on it and hope that the right buyer came along.

a stockish 6 with a manual (2 things i dont like)

a decent stereo with a few screens, nice interior, bit of a kit and wheels.

im saying that i wouldnt pay for then 5 mabye 6 for it becuase i dont like 6 cylinders.

if it was a 5 litre with an auto and stall i would think its alot better. 15k will get you into a ba...

Chuck it on carsales for about ~$7k I reckon, just need the right buyer you'd probably have to supply a RWC at that price too.

If you still have most of the stock stuff, would you be better off chucking all that back in and selling the goodies separately?

Don't think you'd have much luck finding someone who is after a 16 year old falcon, and wants to pay extra to get one with an AU motor, 19" rims, interior conversion etc.

I reckon it's worth a lot more than it'll actually sell for. nommic's hit the nail on the head: see ebgt302's mentality for proof in this thread.

my green eb is a good example, had thousands spent on the motor but never pulled more then 4k in sales.

im not knocking the car, its great and had alot of work and time spend on it and its a shame to see that people dont pay top dollar for hard work. but worked/performance e series fords just dont hold their vaule and people aint buying them

No harm in putting it up somewhere for 7-8 grand. better to start higher then lower.

Far from it mate. I have known Dylan for about a year now and see the car every weekend and watched him work/ mod his car for most of them. It amazes me with how much time/ effort he has put into it and by saying that is it a stock 6 is absolutely Ludicrous. His receipts are a size of a text book and like Wav_man said he has spent a lot of $$$$ I know how much but not saying I do understand that it is an old car and he has spent $1X,XXX but I wouldn't want to see it go for less than 8K. I personally think he should keep but its his choice. You just never get you money back on anything these days unless its a Classic or Limited Edition

Put it on ebay, carsales, every forum known to man at $10k and wait it out. Dont expect it to sell quickly. Dont drop the price quickly either. Someone will buy it eventually.

I agree Dan. Wait it out Dylan. Put it in every local paper there is, Ebay, all forums. I am also letting people know about it around my side of the woods too

id probs say about 8-9k is wat its worth but it looks really nice so u could probs get up to 10-11 i think

I'd start at 8k. But I wouldnt expect it to sell for less than 5k - I'd be pretty disappointed if it got down near there.

It'd be a sad sale for you though I imagine. It is such a nice car. One of my favourites for sure.

I would say $10k. I'm basing that on JETXR which is also for sale at the moment for a little over $20k, but it has 400+rwkw, a DOHC engine, huge billet wheels, custom interior, is ford focus orange and has a custom bodykit.
Why that makes sense to me I dont know

Shame E-series are worth so little... I figure mine (to someone else) is worth less than 1500, with turbo kit on it
