yes i know i posted it in the other fuel prices thread but its just so important that everyone does this. do the right thing and do ur bit to help the country, sign a piece of paper!

p.s. this will also benifit LPG, not as severly obviously but more than enough to notice

People earning under $60k are going to be around $50 a week better off starting tomorrow.

IMO, a big problem with taking the excise off fuel is that petrol stations can drop the prices by say 40c instead of over 50c, so oil companies are then taking the money that should have been saved by us.

APCO totally forgot to mention the $31bn in tax cuts aren't all going to individuals. It also goes to businesses etc to develop green technology, home owners that rent their houses out cheaper to tennants, and a heap more.

Toyota got 30million in tax breaks for saying they will build a hybrid Camry in Melb, even though they were going to do it anyway.

[edit] - How will it effect LPG when there's currently no Federal excise on it?

LPG Gets excise in 2011


Also its only $20 extra a week between 40-50k a year :)

In income tax yes, there's also a lot of other tax breaks that have started today that have been on the news daily for the last month.
