Ill dig up the number.
Most aren't having any problems with blatant profiteering. Since when does a MPI gas conversion cost $3k?

Russ. wrote:When I bought my EL I started keeping a list of how many K's I did between filling with fuel and how much fuel I put in etc. and since I'm bored at work today I put it all in a spreadsheet to find that I'm averaging 16.9L/100k on LPG which worked out to $9.76/100k based on what I paid each time.
I kept the same record before I got the LPG, and for the same driving I was getting an average of 14.9L/100k on ULP which worked out to $21.34/100k.
This is in my stock EL Ghia I6 so its got the Tickford motor, but I live in Hawthorn so I do a fair bit of city driving.
One thing that I noticed was that even though I always fill up when the car tells me I have under 40km to go before I run out, the amount of LPG I put in varies between about 40L and 55L, so sometimes I thought I was getting crap economy because I was only getting 250k's out of a tank when other times I got over 350 before the gauge said empty, but the actual usage was not varying much.
Based on how much it was costing me to drive 100k's on ULP vs how much it costs me to drive 100k's on LPG, my spreadsheet says it will take 9500k's before I have saved the $1100 I paid for the conversion. (I've already saved almost 40% of that amount after being on LPG for just over 3500k's)
Just an interesting set of results I thought I'd share

Although the differences caused by this volume of people is insignifigant against the exchange rate, chinas growing demand for oil and the middle easts oil production levels. Those three factors (and some others granted) have been the main factor for the volitility in the petrol prices.
