Looking forward to see it being completed though :)

I think you need to do a black boxcar next.

you have to have an eye for it.
the above is pretty damn average compared to the quality thats around.

like the detail on this one...
apparently done by a 14 year old, which has been about 6 months in the making.

That's sik. I've always wanted to try that, ever since I got a freebie program for the Amiga. It wouldn't have looked even half as good as yours though.

Looking good! Some of the robotics blokes at Uni were working on a driving simulator a while back, they used on of our old SAE Race cars and put in sensors etc. so it you drove using our racer's controls with 3 flatscreen TV's (1 directly in front and one on each side on an angle), but it was really average, I don't know what they were using to set it up, but they were running some big computers to power it!

Looks really good man - When my Missus was doing a Multimedia Degree they were using 3dsmax - her main focus wasn't 3d modeling so she wasn't great with it - but it looked like an annoying process

That GTR is nuts! It's have well over a million polys though.

rFactor can use 3dsmax for car models :D

Will it be hard to change the right front end parts to make an XR, GLi etc etc?

yeah, the GTR is insane Aaron, he's modelling the interior now.
its amazing the level of detail these guys are doing.

wouldn't be THAT hard to change front end parts but one thing at a time!

No, using photos of my car.
any blue prints for an EF that i've seen are shite and don't accurately reflect an EF.

decent photos are good enough!
