Yay... I love living at a city uni...

Postby glenneaux » August 14th, 2007, 10:15 pm

I live at swinburne in hawthorn.

My car gets parked on the street. It's been clipped on the rear corner which was quoted at $2.5k to replace/paint...

I got backed into the other night in edithvale (some womans 3rd party paying to fix/spray back door)

I've had indicators knocked off..

Now i go out there to find some kents been on my roof .. i hit the dint out and its still got 2 dints/kinks on the sides at the b pillars roughly. rub marks on the bonnet and bootlid in the dust indicating someones been up and over it... ****.

fucking hell.

well yeah theres a huge big lock up multilevel thing.. public but closed after 11 and on weekends, and before people start flaming me - I know im stupid. after $2.5k quarter damage and now this i could've had my car in that car park all this time - while a mate at deakin burwood pays $80 a year.. ours is $120 a month.

but yeah. Im very very very keen on a replacement black EB with good paint etc that WILL be in there.. and will have fullcomp..

Where abouts do you park your car?

I went to Swinburne Hawthorn for 2 years back in the day.

The multi level carpark started out at $3.30, the year after it raised to $4.40 and now I think it's $5.50. Fkn rip off kents. I got told off too many times kickin' the old beast outside ways in there. It was sick fun.

Park it on Park St (one street north, over from wakefield st).. near the tafe can leave it there all week.. generally pretty good. but yeah. while being here my housemate had his 04 fiesta kicked in (quoted at $3k), i've had the rear corner clipped (quoted at $2.5) i've had indicators stolen now got 2 kinks in the roof.. farken !!

Bagging it up in that car park is sweet too.. the straights with a manual and an LSD goes off haha. and yeah it is $5.50 now, such a rip. swinny / res should subsidise student parking or something .. sucks.

I used to park on top of Safeway there when I went to Swinburne (the driveway/entrance to the multilevel was too steep). Left it overnight many times without a problem, it's a fairly hidden carpark. Then again, if it was permanent, I probably wouldn't. Oh, and if your car is lowered, take it really really slow near the top.

I had friends who lived on res and parked their cars at mates places nearby, so find a mate with some car space and just buy em a slab of beer a month or something to let you park there. (I also studied engineering there, a slab of beer is considered the only form of currency)
