You can get AU engines for around $500. $1400 is way too much. The AU engine is the safer option though. Basically you'll have to grind the ribs off the front of the sump, and also get EF/EL/AU accessories and it goes in pretty easily. The BA is a much harder job as you also have to get around bonnet clearance issues, ECU differences, and more.

a guy on here is in the process of doing it into his EB, but it has taken him a while, for simplicity i would go for the AU engine, less stress to install, and are still an excellent engine.

I was in the same situation about 1 month ago. BA or AU engine in my EF. I went with the AU2 XR6 HP motor.
Well worth it, very little hastle to install and major differene to how it drives. Go with the AU motor.
BA is a fair headache to convert!!!

No, they're pretty much the same. But personally if your engine runs fine, there is no point in doing an engine swap. I've considered doing an engine swap for mine, mainly due to the fact it has a lot of timing chain rattle, and timing case / crank seal leaks but decided it'd make more sense to just run the engine into the ground before swapping it over.

Im guessing someone just searched for 'dynowog' and 'xtc' and is now posting shit everywhere.

If its a massively old thread and you have no interest in it, dont post!

Consider this a warning phase autos.
