Postby pantic » September 13th, 2008, 2:38 am

just curious my capri is fun to boot around and 40 litres for 500+ kays. you cant really complain but since my xr8 is gonna be off the road alittle while longer then what i expected... and my missus/brother in law/my dad/my grandfather all got e-series. im getting jealous :(

i've only clocked up 156,234 kays on it. i should be able to nearly straight swap? they sell in car yards for 7k just curious as im 6foot and big shoulders and yer i dont fit 2 well in there hahahaah :P

My mates dad probably would. He has an EF XR6 wagon manual at the moment in his yard. Nice car.

Oh spewing you have a 92 model. There's a clause in the second hand car dealerships licence saying 1992 Ford Capri's can't be traded for an EF or EL Fairmont wagon, only the lesser E-Series wagons.

Alternatively you could change the tail-lights trade it as a 93 model which means you can trade it in on any car you want.

yeah a reasonable salesman would swap it with little adjustment (cash one way or the other/rego or unreg/rwc etc) but a stereotypical salesman will try to **** u over. id consider what u have and what u want would be similar and fair

i got straight swap he payed rego my car had 9mths rego left. so he lost out on 3mths. i just gotta pay for roadwrothy which is already passed.. fancy that :P~ and tranfers fees so roughly $200 i spend but.. on my capri it needed rear tyres/4 springs (lowered on bum stops)

rear tyres for the 50mm low profile 15's.. god they got some funky prices

so i got a 98 el he got a 92 capri i also polished it and gave it a full detail before selling it.. and the prick couldn't even wash the dirt off my new car. bastards :P

[D1SCNT]: trust me.. very very big regretful sale. but i got a family of 5. a 4 seater doesn't cover it.

over all i did get jipped on my capri as alot better nick then the el.. but to fix the roof/glovebox leaver/springs/2x tyres/rear lower arm bushes i wouldnt of sold it then. i keep good care of all my cars. bonus the el came with new headlights both l/h r/h and underneath all brand new bushes/ball joints/tie rod ends. so the previous owner wasnt shy on money. so only down side is i wanna make it manual. so i gotta buy steering colum/centre console/2 seats/normal handbrake/handbrake cable

i tell ya what the foot pedal handbrake would of been fucking sick in the capri... punch it on lay the throttle and drift hahaha :P but the pedal handbrake is fun to use to spin the car out... haha :P

i'll put pictures up soon needs a polish/lowered then i'll post pictures.. otherwise its just a standard height el.. :P everyone knows what a stockie looks like so i'll wait to i mod it first :P should be in 2 days that i lower it and polish it and tear off those hub caps and paint my stockies silver
