This had to be started. Hopefully its not to much of a flame war!.

Anyway who's gunna win, well we all want Ford too, but do they stand a chance? will Winncup come 1st? or maybe Winterbottom?

Discuss.

If you're gonna be a Ford supporter, at least spell Whincup right.

I'd like to see DJR or Brighty win Bathurst this year.

Ford have a lot of cars capable of taking the win. Lowndes/Whincup and Frosty/Richo would definitely be the best of the Fords but I wouldn't count out Davison/Johnson or Courtney/Besnard. Brighty would be a dark horse but if his strategy is as good as last year (up to the point where he put cold slicks on when the track was wet) he's a chance. If it rains, Van Gisbergen can impress as well.

For Holden, Tander/Skaife and Prick/Radisich would be their best options. Hopefully Ford can make it 3 in a row!

I'm going with Holden to win. As much as i want Ford to, the shitfight that Skaife has put up is gunna **** Ford over. i'd love to see Johnson do some good and stand on top of the podium but i can't see that happening

i think they(johnson and davison) have a good chance.
both have good history in enduro's and they are running car 18 which is a new motor or so i am led to believe.

its is going to be a good race this year regardless of who wins but i also hope car 18 does.

also side note anyone heard anything about steve leaving djr? i heard a few little things but nothing substantial.

edit: just found this http://www.news.com.au/dailytelegraph/s ... 23,00.html

Apparently I-Am-too-good-to-finish-a-race James Courtney is moving to DJR next year. Its either Steve or Will going....but its still alittle early to be saying.

Personally I'm getting tired of the factory teams taking the wins all the time. If Brighty or DJR can take the win it'd be awesome.

I thought DJR were pulling out because ford canned its sponsorship like the canned for 4.0LT's

Since when were 888 a factory team? Hell the last time a factory Ford team won would be 1977 by my count.

Ford Performance Racing/ Holden Racing Team = Factory teams yeah?

True about 888 not being a factory team but they've also got one of the bigger budgets in V8s so when ever a smaller Ford team beats a team bigger than themselves I always have a smile on my dial. Same for the smaller Holden teams taking on the bigger Holden teams (not much of that happening though apart from filthy rich Dickhead Morris).

well bathurst has already taken its first victims, the PWR commodore and TKR Falcon both look as though they will be out for the weekend after crashing.

"The accident occurred early in this morning's first practice when Weel spun just before McPhillamy Park and backed his Commodore in to the wall. While Weel was stranded, Pither arrived on the scene in the TKR Falcon at pace and smashed into the #50 Commodore, which Weel was planning to share with regular PWR driver Andrew Thompson in Sunday's Great Race."

not that it really matters, just means they wont be able to crash during the race

Well, there goes TKR's yearly budget. Found it on youtube. All I can say is Paul Weel was very lucky he didn't get hit more to the right!

Did anyone see Steve Johnson today? He's either going through radiotherapy or he's an ice junkie for sure.

It's certainly the skinniest I've seen him. He always struggled to keep his weight down. I saw him at Phillip Island and he looked healthy enough.
