Is that an actual pic though? Or just a very good photoshop? The angle of the engine doesn't seem right, but it just might not have a gearbox attached.
Good idea if you get the engine cheap I reckon.

Haha that's sick.
Would anyone happen to have a pic of an LS1 next to a Boss motor?
I remember seeing something for a Boss 5.4 next to a Windsor... Windsor looked like a model engine next to the Boss.
Edit:
SNAP NECK wrote:if you want something unique..put a 4.6 modular in it.. ( even in stock form, would be much better than the 5.4L )
to put a BOSS engine in a e series requires much modification work to towers and suspension...
and still the clearance for headers is extremely minimal..
here's a pic of the difference between a windsor and 4.6...
imagine the 5.4L...

LS1s are around 9.2" deck I think vs 302 Windsor 8.2", so picture another 1" of block on a 302 and you are pretty close.

on the subject of conversions, do any ford folk ever fantasize about something like a 2jz conversion?
or just not really an option?
i guess the 4lt makes some pretty fkn decent power!

Iv got a spare LS1 sitting in the shed, accompanied by a T56. Putting it in a falcon would require alot of time and money and mechanical knowledge. 2 of which I dont have

Imagine if the Holden boys found out about this!!
We always had one up on them using our 9" diff, now we use their LS1's.....
Oh well, someone put a 6.0 in their e-series and rape some HSV's!

Whoa, thats a bit different! Are the LS1 motors that much better than the Boss motors? I basicall know nothing about V8's, but I though with the quad cams the Boss would be superior? Maybe I should keep the AU and look for a wreaked SS!

Basically just add cam, injectors, edit and maybe a manifold/tb and away you go!
So many 300rwkw SS's out there with bugger all major mods...

Yeah for the price of quad cams for a boss you can get a cam, injectors and an edit for an LS1...
No wonder there is stacks of people belting about in them.
