There is a wholesaler in NSW currently selling an ED XR8 SPRINT on ebay that is a 'repairable writeoff'

No Problem- apart from the fact he will not disclose to you that it is in fact a repaiable writeoff and hasn't had a VIV also doesnt disclose the VIN.

In other words this vehicle may end up costing a few grand more than just the buy price - Please be careful!! I don't want to see someone get ripped off.

It's not by accident that these important details are being left off as i have emailed and spoken to this guy a few times and he is just out to scam someone.

It is a Poly Green 1994 model, Auto

I will post the VIN of the vehicle and specifics of the seller if mods want me to

Shit like is sucks. Pretty sure a member on here had an EF XR6 that was a writeoff in another state. He took the car back, got his money and they sold the car to the next sucker.

I was the highest bidder $4150 but have since told him i dont want it.

Vic roads can be tough with these things - i'm not risking spending good dough on it, was registered as a repairable writeoff 20/10/08.
I don't care about buying a car in this condition IF i know it is that, don't lead me to believe i'm buying a good car.

He says the only prob with the car is it appears to have a bent rear axle - for all i know, the chassis could be bent if it's been written off - there is definately more to it. I'm fairly sure they've bought it from a damaged vehicle auction

He says, don't worry about the VIN title is clear, theres no problems, we are a LMCT, we guarauntee it blah blah blah

Now he's leaving me shit feedback because i checked it out - took 3 phone calls to get the VIN

Dealer is National Wholesale Cars, Seven Hills, NSW
Ebay name is PARTZZRUS

I have left VIN details at work, will post tomorrow

Fvckjing assshole!

As an LMCT he is obligated to give you a 3 day cooling off period. You could argue seeing as you haven't even signed a contract, that the cooling off period hasn't even begun.
I would take this shit further.
From VACC website...
That means, if the car is found to have been stolen, or rebirthed, or has a security registered against it by a finance company, the LMCT must 'make good' the tile or, if this cannot be done, provide a full refund. They must also provide a three day cooling off period (in case you change your mind), and a three month or 5000kms statutory warranty for cars built less than 10 years ago which have also travelled less than 160,000kms.

Also LMCTs HAVE to disclose the vehicles VIN number, whether asked or not.

I went to trade the car in on a wagon and found out that way. Believe I wont be buying another second hand car unless I do a vic roads check.
But alls good now.

Why would he do that??
