Any wheel repair shop can widen steel rims, I've been quoted $250 to widen a pair of 15x7 wheels to 15x9.

Wheels Ballarat is the bomb!.... got a quote to get two 18" rims re-rolled, they charge $70 bucks for both.... not to mention the $10 puncture repairs on my 33" hilux tyres. So i say there cheap

'cheap' and 'professional' dont go well together.
sure, you can find someone to weld some centres into 8" wide steel bands for $50 a piece, and it might even be okay for speedway.... but to get it precise and safe for the road is a totally different thing
it costs $180 PER RIM to get it done by a well known engineering mob in QLD, and have seen their work and its spot on. They can do it cheaper for race track use only (ie: less attention to detail)

Pretty sure TUFED6 had some wheels widened, he sent me the details, but I cant remember where they are.
