The south eastern racing assoc. Is holding a meeting at the Tooradin airfield at 7.00pm sept 5th too raise support for a legal drag strip in our area. Your attendance would be appreciated. Forward this message onto all your friends.

I know of alot of people going to this who is going from here??

a fair few people look to be going down.
Tooradin Air strip is 1km long, long enough for a 400m drag strip.
All the discussion i've heard in the past has said it is going to be a 1/8mile, but i guess we'll see.
if i can get back from work in time i'll be heading down.

so it's about an hour from this area ? Is anyone from here going to go have a look ?

Just make sure you stop before the end of the strip, unlike my uncle (who is good friends with Glen, the owner of the airfield) who did $80,000 worth of damage to his BMW 7 series after a drunken attempt at seeing how fast he could go down the airfield runway!

I might come down for a look-see, if I'm free...

Apparently they will open it as a 1/8 first and if it becomes popular enough, it will go to 1/4.

Other advantages are the location, although it may seem a pain in the middle of know where, this will actually be better with noise restrictions, etc.

How about meeting at the Great Southern Home centre on Thompson Rd and South Gippsland Hwy, this is where the meet was for the phillip island criuse.

nothing, some old lady tryed saying something and she just got shit put on her for having a low voice, as you shoud, he wasnt expecting these numbers, stage fright but he was onstage already

there was just BAs dosing and on VN ripped it up leaving, no one did anything accept the one guy that turn right into oncoming traffic

Yeah was a pretty big turn out. I couldnt believe how many were there. 1000s people standing outside listening to a few people screaming their lungs out to be heard over everyone. I heard about as much as Joe. Hopefully something comes out of it, I think they were quite suprised at the number of people that showed up

people did meet up and go there together, there were maybe 10 or so cars that meet up and went down.

so why didnt you go wayne? ppl thought you would have been there because you were talking about it so ppl just assumed you would be there

I reckon it is. Next week they will hav a petition to sign and pretty sure he said that once the petition is done, we will cruise to Sandown on a weekend, set up in the carpark and see what happens.
Ideally they want to run at Sandown. Sandown management said no one wants the drags there, this is to prove thats not the case.
