Hey guys,

Im looking to see if anyone would be interested in a single turbo kit for the windsor from i guess EA-AU if the manifolds fit all engine bays and sit the same.

Pretty much get the following gear

GT35 turbo, manifold, 50mm turbosmart wastegate, braided oil and water lines and turbo heat shield.

are you selling them or want to buy?

as great as it would be, i can't see many people coming up with the cash to actually go through with it.

I assume this is a Aussie kit as the US ones don't fit

I want to approach 2 people that i have in mind to make this kit up and it will consist of Genuine Garret turbo, turbosmart wastegate, custom hand built steam pipe manifolds with life time warranty on cracks and so on.

Most people are too cheap on this forum. Garrett turbo for a windsor and Turbosmart waste-gate, that's got to be $3000 to $4000 alone. Then there is the manifolds, whatever they will cost.

I'd rather you got stuck into making big brake kits than sing turbo setups for 5.0s - I love turbos but it's going to be cheaper and easier to make/sell brakets to fit a supercharger, ahla capa, and you don't end up with 40 metres of red hot pipes snaking through the engine bay...

Yep there really is no way around that. It's only minimised by replacing the front of the chassis with tubular steel. Even then it's somewhat unavoidable.

If he was to organise blower bracket/pulley kits they'd wanna be better than CAPA's set-ups. Someone definately needs to re-think them. (for 5.0's that is)
Hence the wait to see how Geoffs Snort Paxton kits end up

This is just an option for us all guys and im gona be doing a few projects for us Ford boys.

I wont be having a runnig setup as i no longer own a XR8 and dont worry everything this guy does WORKS and has many cars out there with his products.

I think u all should have a little faith in me

Im not going to go into the trouble of getting all your guys feedback and information needed to appraoch the turbo kit builder to make this turbo setup if he has dodgie work or dosent have any proven product out there.

If and when im able to realese some information about this guy and his work u will quickly notice;

1. One of the best manifold builders
2. Has a fantastic workmanship and covered with a lifetime warranty
3. Has a shit load of VERY happy customers across Australia
4. All his products are race track proven
5. Full tech support

These are just some of the things this man can do for you.

I've no doubt that he's fuckin awesome, but he needs to make stuff that people want.

Yes, a turbo windsor is cool, but it makes less sense than a supercharged one. As XH5LWPN said, the CAPA stuff is crap, and it costs an absolute MINT.

He's onto a winner if he can make and sell bracket and pulley sets to fit a blower to a windsor, and it would be 11ty times easier than trying to make a turbo setup work properly.

I just got of the phone with the turbo kit builder and he is keen on making the kit providing that he have at least 5 ppl definatly keen and having a $500.00 deposit.

So pretty much he can do a kit that will be a custom manifold from the drivers side and have a pipe from the passanger side come off the standard extractor and come around the front of the engine and run across to the turbo. So imagine a pipe from the drivers side coming in front of the engine then across but the pipe would be placed at the same level as the bottom of the radiator.

But if you wanted a more bigger turbo and so on the he would have to do a kit were the passanger side will also be custom made so it can flow alot more and he can run something like a GT42R or whatever else u like. But this would cost an extra $1200-2000 more to build the manifold on the passanger side and making a few little other things up.

So pretty much under $5000.00 he can do a kit which has the following

Genuine GarretGT35R turbo, custom manifold drivers side, 50mm turbosmart wastegate, braided oil and water lines and turbo heat shield. Note standard extractor on passenger side and using a pipe from there to turbo.

OR

Under $7000.00

As above but with custom extractor from passanger side also coming to the turbo which he can run bigger turbo's like GT42R and so on.

So would look something like this with all custom manifolds drivers and passangers side

Well i have posted it over 3 ford forums to let everyone know so even if there are only 2 windsor owners on here or 50, who cares becuz at least im asking everyone if they would be interested in this kit.

So if you think that i post a Epression of interest in a single turbo windsor kit without checking how many windsor owners on each of the 3 forums is iffy. The only iffy thing here is the way u think becuz i see no harm in asking ppl if there intereted or not and appraoched the kit builder and see if they want to build it. If they do want to build it then who ever wants a kit can contact them directly and deal with them.

Im not making anything out of this in anyway shape or form. Im purely doing this as ive seen this mans work and he made a holden 304 turbo kit and i thought why not for a 302 windsor.
