Contra J-Spec (whatever) 16x9s.

^^^ old pic :P

$800 with rubber (pricey I know for 16s), bought them off ebay 2-3 years ago. Ended up replacing the hoops anyway because they were too low-profile, previous owner had them on a drift-spec RX7. There's a dude on pertheseries.com with similar rims, except his have less dish and are 17s.

Beware 16" rims though, getting decent rubber for them is a bastard.

I bought mine of a guy in geelong and we have no idea who made them. Alot of people say they a Herrod wheels but I am unsure!

I have had many:
BA XR's
BA GTP 18's
BA GTP 19's
ED Sprint Wheels

And now these ones are the ones I have settled on:

guy i bought them off (done over ebay from a guy in vic) said they were still very good condition etc so i paid $870 for them, got them and they were stuffed massively scratched, flaking clearcoat, 1 rim was buckled. so repairs cost $700 and then they had $920 tyres put on them :P

not 100% sure on the name of these.

says 'A-Dish' on the sticker inside the rim, they're a Japenese Multi-Piece rim.

18x8 on the front, 18x9 on the rear
AU Offset, so using Adapters.
can't remember how much i paid, from memory between $300 and $400 with tyres, 2nd hand on ebay.

16"x8" CSA on the daily driver ED - Cost me $500 with tyres from a mate.
Image

17"x8" Advanti Fluid on the NF (Have since sold them and replaced with 15" EB Spac wheels)
Cost about $700 for the wheels brand new off ebay, and then $700 worth of tyres.

im running 17x8 ROH RT's. These are e-series offset. They were purchased 2nd hand (cant remember what I paid) with a few scratches. They were Shaddow chrome but now are liquid silver.

Image

Reason I went for these because they were cheap, easy as to get rubber, and no insurance issues as no hub adaptors. If adaptors werent a issue i would have bought these Jap AME 18x8 and 18x9 5 spoke wheels with dish from a mate and thrown them on....but oh well...looks alright for a daily runner.

well i reckon its a fact that hub adaptors are legal and can void insurance. Plus was told some stories of hub adaptors going wrong and didnt want to really take the risk then have no cover too.

I agree that there are so many nicer rims esp like commando's and EFFalcon's but all comes to adaptors or not question.

Mine have no adapters :D

If John's rims didn't have that convex factor they'd be my favourite by far. As they are they're probably still my favourite rims to ever grace an e-series.

I have DF LTD's on mine at the moment. Moved away from the 'stolen' stockie look for a while, far less attention.
Got them off Ebay for $350ish? Went to collect them and they were no-where near the condition as described. Guy needed coin so i offered him $60. Sweet!
I would love big wheels, have spent the last year looking but still cant decide what to get. 15" tyre prices is great tho i must say.

Our old white EB had 14x7 & 14x8 hotwires with 235 & 245 hankook tyres. & just b4 it got wrote off we put a set of 18x8 BA XR8 wheels on it in E=series offset. Then the BA XR8's went onto our LTD. & our EB S-XR6 has 18x8 BA GT-P copies in A,B-series offset....
