QLD, suck my balls. I hate you.

Story: Go to visit relo's at Surfers for a few days, all's good on the way up, pull up in the driveway and my gfs bro in law helps with a few bags out of the car. Few hours later, he decides to go somewhere, so up comes the roller door, and back goes the current model Hyundai Sonata fitted with reverse parking sensors.
FKN CRUNCH!

Straight into the front drivers corner of the falc....

Doesnt look too bad to start with, so I wasnt overly pissed...busted indicator, bumper fkd up, but then the front quarter panel is bent up under the indicator.. go to jump in to move it, and the door doesnt open...... so I have to reef it. BANG goes the front quarter as it pops back into place.
Move it onto the front lawn, go inside.
Next day, go out to the car and I've got a farkin parking ticket!!! WTFBBQRZ?!?!?!?!?! I'm parked on their front lawn, but the ticket says I was parked on a goddamn nature strip! Theivin $%^&s
Start the falc up, radiator light turns on. *sigh* Bottle's dead empty... fill it up... drains back out... fill it up again.... the seam on the radiator on the passenger side's leakin a few inches belows the hose.... wtf.....
I figured it was from the bump, jarring the radiator or some shit. Either way, I had to drive home to go to work later that night (this night), so off I go lookin for some Stop Leak shit. Pull up at a servo, turn the car off, go inside and they dony have any. Fill the bottle back up, and go lookin for another servo. 10kms later I found one with stop leak.. bottle empty again lol.... coolant all over the servo lol. Pour it in, fill it up (with car going) and after a few secs the leak seems to have stopped.
Right, fuk QLD, I'm goin home.
Get to ballina (after a bottle refil) turn car off to get some food, come back and its dumped its guts all over the parkin lot. WTF you bitch.
Turns out that unless you take the cap off the bottle, when you turn the car off it pressurizes enough to burst the seal. Would have been good to know that.


Lesson:
QLD holidays sucks balls.
Hyundais suck balls.

I had a knt reverse into my XF on a driveway coz he wasn't looking properly too. How fucking hard is it to check all 3 mirrors before reversing, seriously.

Get your gf's brother in law to pay for the damage and the radiator = win.

I think you will find that life in general sucks balls, not just the bit of it you spend in QLD...

Boxcar virus sounds highly likely.... last time it ventured into QLD it recieved another parking ticket (week before this)... and then going to PC last year it had an epic gearbox/clutch and everything-all-at-once fail... I dont think its boxcars only tho anymore , its evolved to EFs...

Funniest thing was he kept saying "It didnt beep at me" to his wife. I felt like punching him in the head coz it could have been his 3 yr old daughter that ran out behind the car.. and he wouldnt have seen a thing coz he only looked in his drivers mirror. (I even doubt that).

It's all covered by his comprehensive insurance so I get the get the front bumper, bonnet and guards resprayed as paints gone to shit on them, and new radiator... hopefully.
Life so far hasnt sucked balls... just everytime I go to QLD lol. better stop when I move there to go to uni... else the falc might have to go up for sale lol

Just got back from the smash repairs - he's putting in repairs to the whole front end, so my shabby paint gets resprayed - bumper, bonnet, drivers guard, and at the very least the top of the passenger guard. Nice.
Radiator will also be covered, so it gets a full flush and shit.
And, the flaking paint on my spoiler will cost like 50bux extra to get done at the same time, so she'll be looking pretty smick by the time its all done

Driving round with the radiator cap off sux tho...

Update - Got the repair quote from the smash repairs, totals in at almost $2500 lol.

Also, NRMA now sucks balls.
Quote and pics were sent in to them on the 23rd or 27th (Aus day w/e), they told me 48 hours and I would have a response..... None as of yet so I called em up, and the fella I was talking to tried twice to call through to the Newcastle assessors part and couldnt get through.

Sure do love driving around with no radiator cap and about 5l of spare water.
oh and no right indicator, it decided to fall out and now wont go back in lol.


Also did you know it costs $241 for one head light from Ford, and $86 for an indicator.

$2500 lol they will write it off! haha.

But you can request they use aftermarket parts to bring the price down

Thats what I was thinking, though I wouldnt mind a 2500 pay out n fix it myself....

i went to him to get sum rust fixed,,he wasn't interested as it wasn't worth it to him, ,so i went to ryan street,,they a good bloody job..was quite happy with it. .
