Boosted Falcon

Picking this up tomorrow.

Its an EL Ghia, 5L. Has basic upgrades like explorer manifold and pacemaker extractors and lowered. Its the old KENAZ8.

Thinking I might put it on gas and give it a general clean should be a nice daily car.
This is obviously the reason why I am selling my White EB at the moment!

good car mechanicly but it needs a fair bit of work body wise, much better then the EB shitter tho!

Needs a little body work wise I wouldnt say it was major. Drives awesome I drove it home today and it sweet as. Just gotta lift it for the roadworthy cause it sits on its guts. But for the price I am not going to complain. $2,300.

Oh ok no worries been at CVE today it needs an alternator probably sitting there for the last 6 months doing nothing has not helped it. So if anyone has a V8 alternator floating around give me a PM or a message on my phone and by the way kristy we are in for dinner tonight!!

are you going to re spray they car once fixed up the body of it?

Ill do all the body work myself and just get it repaired by my mate. There is no real point respraying it as it doesnt any dints in it other than the front guard and the drivers side rear door which can easily be fixed. I wanna respray EBGLT if anything.

Good pick-up. Body was a bit farked and shit but can't complain for $2300, especially for the mods it comes with. I think Ash spent $1000 on the RW when he sold it, and another $1000 on servicing and getting brakes fixed not long before selling it. $2k right thurr

Yeah, my shock face was due to the awesome purchase price. That's a hell of a lot of car for so little dollar. Not too many other luxo 14 second cars out there for $2300!

Body wise the body is pretty good in my eyes. Not farked at all and the minor things that are wrong with it are pretty simple and easy to fix. With a bit of TLC and a good service im sure it will be a 14sec car again.

$2,300 was pretty awesome thats why I jumped at the opportunity when it arised as I knew a few people had looked at it in the past and said no because of the minor dints in it. Dont worry it will return to its former glory it deserves it, its still a beautiful car.

the main things i can think of that are wrong with the body are:

Front bar
Rear bar
Drivers side guard
drivers side rear 1/4 near tail light.

unless i missed something, thats not exactly 'shit condition'
front and rear bars are easy!

Yeah I spent a bit before selling it and lost a shit load of money, but oh well. I spent about $500 on new genuine headlights at one stage, thanks to Sunny's bargaining skills The roady cost me 1k, extractors were about $800 installed, explorer manifold is from a XH II XR8 and that was about $900 including new gaskets and stuff. I put a new Powerbond harmonic balancer on about a year before selling. I serviced it every 5k and had the trans serviced every 12 months.

There's heaps of other things as well, so if you need to know anything Shaun just let me know

Shouldnt be a problem getting it on the road just a few little things here and there to sort out. i.e Suspension cause it may as well be sitting on the bump stops!!

Alternator isnt a big thing to fix. The difference between the 6 and 8 is the outer housing (mount points) Insides bits are common between both.

There's no escaping the fact that it's a shitbox Shaun! I bought SLOXR8 for $2200 as a minga project with a lot more mods but needing a little more work than KENAZ8. SLOXR8 was pretty much mint again within a couple of months, hope the same happens with this thing. Neglected cars being brought back to former glories (the word restoration fits but isn't really able to be associated with E-Series yet) is always something I've been keen on.
