ive got my parts for my shift kit and i plan to solder it up this weekend, but i want to add an LED into the circuit so it is ON when the shift kit is on, and off when its off. heres the diagram of how to wire it up:

i PM'd a few guys on here & fordmods and this is the reply i got-
from fordmods:
i have done a quick sketch on how it works, you add it between the switch and the new 6.7k resistor so its on when the kit is on, then add power to number 30 and 87 out to the LED then earth the other side of the LED. you might need to check and make sure the current the shiftkit provides is enough to throw a relay. so try and find a smaller sized relay. falcons use 30amp stock but you can go upwards and lower ratings

so yeah, i have to add a relay somewhere in there. but speaking to amon, member n here who is an auto elec, he told me that all i need is a small resistor as LEDS require near no voltage to run. thinking about it too much makes my brain hurt, as i have a very very limited mental capacity when it comes to electronic circuits.
i thought id post it up on here in the hope that a few people with some electronics knowledge may know how to wire it up properly! id like to avoid using a relay if i have to, as i have no idea how they work!
PS- i have a 6 point switch, and ill wire it up exactly the way it says in the first diagram, but what points do i wire the LED to?!
