Not suprised, there's so many people in the automotive world who have their cars built with drug money.

Drove the Jack Daniels BA XR Drag car.

He will get money from selling his story anyway, plenty to fund his retirement

Drug sting nets drag vehicles
February 3rd, 2009

QUEENSLAND police have charged five people and seized more than $6 million worth of property just north of the Gold Coast after a year-long drug operation.

The haul included 11 high performance drag-racing vehicles - six drag cars and five motorbikes - which were seized at Yatala, just north of the Gold Coast, police said.

On Tuesday, 15 search warrants were executed on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts and Brisbane with one also in NSW.

A Narangba man described as a prominent member of the drag racing community is due to appear in court this afternoon.

The Australian Crime Commission and the Crime and Misconduct Commission were also involved in the operation, which Detective Superintendent John Pointing said had broken a significant network generating a large amount of drugs and cash.

Five people arrested on Tuesday have been charged with 17 offences.......

i loved how on the news this morning they were describing him just as a prominent qld drag racer... no name mentioned, but the film clip they played showed a couple of his crew members at the drags with brett stevens in big writing on their shirts....
