Hello everyone
Well time is coming to make up my mind on what to do with my ef.
I'm at the stage now where I CBF stuffing around with cars, I just want to get in one and drive. I've got the white ef which is going great guns giving that away for peanuts and also the green ef which has a lot more goodies in it but is going to need some substantial time spent on it.
Hands up who would have a serious interest in an ef with IRS, a V8 with a few goodies, 5 speed manual box, 3.91 lsd, excellent interior but a poor condition body.
Just trying to make up my mind to what to do. Easiest thing would be to do is to call the scrap guy but realistically theres a couple of g worth of good bits in there.
Just bought a 2009 model vehicle. its turbo, 4 doors dark grey/ black metallic and cost the best part of 50k incl a few D/F options.

Hmmm, this thing does sound very interesting indeed! I would love to see some photos of the condition, and am very curious as to what you would be chasing for it?

Sorry for the off topic, but I thought you were doing the IRS into the green EB you had? Is the EF completed and does it really handle that much better? I'm not interested in buying, I'm just curious

I was but yeh chop and change all the time. It does handle better, its sort of more direct. It takes less turn of the wheel to get the car to go where you want. I the term used for describing the steering effect in a live axle. Ity's chalk and cheese when i frive the green irs ef then jump in the white live axle irs.

Again, off topic (sorry mate), but have you posted any photo's or details on how you fitted the IRS to your EF? I did look but couldn't find any posts or pics. I don't want to buy it, but I've got an EF Ghia and have a complete AU XR6 IRS that I have put aside for a future project (XB Coupe). I've been thinking lately that it would go well in the Ghia and make some room in my storage shed.
Cheers
Chris
