Neighbors have threatened me with a letter saying to stop the "aggressive" driving, which i don't in my street as its to small (closely parked cars) I think the loudness of the exhaust makes out that im going faster than i am..
Just want to know if anyone has been dobbed into the hoon hotline and what happens?

pretty sure without pictures or some form of proof they cant do much.
and even then if all they have is you putting the boot in with no wheel spin then ya got no problem really.
i hate people that think if the car is loud you are speeding.
couple years ago i put the boot into my dads standard ba xr6 up to 40 in a 50 zone. and some lady like 100 meters down the road abused me as i went past.

I was dobbed in by a security guard at a new estate. The cops came knocking a few hours later and he told them that me and my mates pointed a gun at him and were doing burnouts. It was half true but we wouldn't know where to get a gun. The cops just told us to keep it down and if they have to come back again they will go over the cars and give canarys and or other fines.

Right.
I had an old dude walking up a footpath when I was driving up the hill in second going 60 (in a 60 zone) turn around half bent and wave both arms up and down like he was krumping telling me to slow down. I laughed my arse off all the way home. Wish I had've got it on video.

lol, I actually have a letter from the hoon hotline, should frame it! Says some bull spit about my details are on record and all that, but they have 'decided not to take any further action' just cos my area is full of old farts! I doubt they can do anything without hard evidence anyway. Pfft to hoon hotline!

Start work even earlier in the morning and come home late at night, so they are inside and can't see shit, but will hear the noise... organise a mini meet get lots of loud eseries to rock up into your street... problem solved...

They have a choice, they can choose not to take that avenue of employment. I'd pick centrelink over being a camera operator.

They could chose to do a real job, instead of sitting on their f**** lazy ass on the side of a road all day.

Hoon hotline is flawed.
You can log onto the crime stoppers, dob in a "hoon" anon. Even attached pictures and all... That are digitally manipulated.
Cops will turn up on your doorstep 2 days later, with Please explain....
Happened Twice now.. Not to happy

I got dobbed in, for "anti-social behaviour" aka hooning legally,
To the people that dobbed me in........It is my prerogative to travel at 50km/h in first gear down a crowded street, and to accelerate as fast as I can to the speed limit, so people should mind their own fucken business and get over it!

I took my EL to that same corner again a few months back and got the massive guy from a different house tried to make me get out then reversed trying to cut me off in his shitty VT but he had no chance lol little country towns are full of psychos

About the part where the cop sat down at his desk, went thru the database system, looked up a rego, matched that against a phone number, called the guy to ask if he had the right number, and then only gave him a warning to cut it out based in someones word.

the person who made the complaint took down his number plate and a discription of his car and called the cops.. it would only take a few seconds to look for his plates and get his phone number...

Not sure how it operates up in QLD, but down here in Vic the police can't just rifle through the LEAP system to gain personal information, unless they have a valid reason ie; pulling someone over for a licence check. There are other reasons, but that's just 1 example.
Reason being is something happend years back where a police officer went through someones files in the system and not long after the person whos info was searched through was found either injured or dead, can't remember the outcome. Was a shear coincidence that the officer was was in that persons files before hand, but you can imagine how much shit hit the fan when they fond this out.
Also stops police getting revenge on people who may of "upset" them at one stage or another. Not all police would do that, but it stops the shit anyway.

So they can rifle through LEAP and bring up a relatives criminal charges then use those charges to level accusations against someone driving said relatives car, but can't use LEAP to investigate a complaint against someone made by a member of the public?

No, they can't. There's no valid reason to do so.

Evidence of the car breaking the law?
Gozza wrote:Or gather number plates off the interweb .
Here's how the people are getting caught on youtube doing burnout, it's enough evidence to log onto LEAP.

so why can the cops come to your house if they suspect you of doing something illegal in your car?? how would they get your addres if they couldn't look it up?
