No they are +34 offset. They will fit with the UPC brake kit but not standard brakes.

Perhaps the UPC kit with the 20mm offset would be better suited to those wanting to run the 9.5" drifteks because of their odd offset?

The problem is that with the +20mm UPC kit the clearance from the stub axle to the back of the wheel would be a concern.
I won't say that it won't work but I can't say that it will either.

To those who are complaining about the front wheels being too far out, are you kidding me? How can you look at that and say you don't like it, it's SUPER hot.
That's how wheel fitment should be! Just needs to be matched at the rear.

i think thats the problem, the rear wheels being in a bit is giving the illusion that the fronts are out.....
get the rears right and it will look perfect....

Malakai mentioned there was 11mm or so clearance before, I think, so 3mm with the +20mm kit would be cutting it pretty fine I guess.
A simple lip rolling would fix any possible issues too though wouldnt it?

And for the rears, why dont you just run some hub adaptors for a while?

LOL You remember everything don't you Gozza?

I might buy two 17x8" +34 Drift Teks and see how that looks. I like this look but I'm not changing to an AU diff just yet and I think because the rears are in so far the easiest way to get it looking right is to get some 8" wide ones and see which look I like best.

Rollin your car would look perfect since you have the AU diff already. Do it!

BTW the guards have just had the inside lip rolled and however much that pushed the guard out. It hasn't rubbed yet. Obviously that depends on front ride height and every car is different in that respect.

I'm not paying $200+ per tyre and besides stretching is the latest fashion, proper tyre fitment and to greater extent bulbous sidewalls belong in the muscle car era. Some people just need to be dragged (kicking and screaming) into the 21st century.

I have been going through the DBA catalog to see if I can identify which rotors would be suitable replacements to put on the UPC kit. I'm 99% sure that the UPC kit consists of Mustang rotors and hub with VE Commodore calipers and pads.

I found these for Ford Mustang Cobra 1994-2004:

Image
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Image

They are the only 330mm rotors for a Mustang in the whole catalog so they should be the right ones. Unfortunately I can't find the 'actual' product image of them on the DBA site, it doesn't seem to exist. Getting them side by side will be the only way to tell in the end.

These pads look just like the ones in the kit that is on my car.

Image

Should be a good combo with DBA 4000 rotors and Bendix Ultimate or Street Road Track pads.

I'm keen to see how the combo that is in the kit goes first though.

Thought I would share what I found.

I got my UPC kit the other day, and I wonder if there is a pad you can get with the surface area with friction material. I think my RBS pads have more surface area. I'll take pics when I do the change over. :)

They are definitely VE calipers in the UPC kit.

Good find Brett with the replacement rotors and pads.

Bringing the topic to the top again...
Is there any more kits available on the market?
A kit utilising perhaps Territory/BF rotors/pads/calipers would be ace.
Even better if we could buy just the spindle/adaptor by itself and source the rest ourselves.
I'm just not liking the idea of $380 for new rotors. I know they last ages but i replace rotors/pads often, i hate brake shudder.

You can put any brand of rotor you like on the kit, all the major and minor brands make mustang calipers. I imagine you could get some very cheap, cheaper than standard E-Series rotors since they are a hat type and don't have the bearing inside the rotor.

ebay US lists the stang rotors for about $100 aus for the pair, for slotted, but freight is like another $200 on top lol.
I was looking at sourcing the rotors from somewhere else, but they wouldnt supply the kit without them :|

a 8" wide wheel WILL fit, you need will need to check how much clearance Brett has on the front with the 9.5"s, you will need an extra 10mm to the upright over a 9.5 to fit a 9" on the front.

the drift teks that i have on the upc kit are +18 9.5inch wide and there is about a squished finger tips width (8 to 10mm) clearance to the upright and its all good.
