How long have you been with E-Series club / forums for?

Hey guys,

With the original Ford.i8 EA Falcon forum coming up to it's 8th year or whatever, I was keen to know how long most people have been here.

I've been around for almost the whole 8 years :S But I'm not the only one :shock:

I've been here since the days when a 5 speed car was rare in the club, and a MPI 5 speed was what everyone aimed to own lol. In other words.. too fkn long!!

I've been with e-series for 4 years, with the exception of a 6 month break from the club when e-series moved to the new forums. I had my first cruise early in 2005.

EDIT: My first GOR Cruise. I'd been on a couple of cruises before then. Damn my car was mint back then.

I joined in January 2008 when I had a deposit on an EB2 GLi, that got smashed a day before I was going to get it, wasn't keen on the gunmetal EF XR6 Factory manual with a smash in the side, so I ended up with the ED GLi instead for peanuts

I joined up just after I turned 18 so nearly 8 years. I was on the ford.i8 site as danse then changed names when we moved to FF because I bought an EDgli instead.

5 speed EA mpi's were the sht back then. I wanted to buy one but my Dad went behind my back and when he bought my new car home it was an auto ED instead. I was shattered.

After knocking back my mum's offer for her mint 9 month old fully optioned BAII XR6T for peanuts, I got bummed, joined the club (January 06) and got new wheels, suspension and zorst for the EL.

I *think* 7 years.
I missed out on the ford.i8 days but came in when there was talk about merging EA-ED with EF/EL

Originally i was looking to buy an EB S Pack, but ended up with the EF so i was all for a merger!

Joined the forums back in the ff.com days when I got the ED in 2003. Man I was a massive n00b back then. Painted brake callipers, cat back exhausts and clear indicators were the shiz.

Jan '03, after buying the EB as an xmas-pressie for myself in '02. I dunno how long after ford.i8 that was but I was fairly active on ff.com.

First event I attended was the Heathcote drags in late May or early June '03, rocked up way late, & it started to rain

Ahh, the days when Boxcars still had a bit of prestige to them (for P-platers), over your XD-XFs & VB-VKs...

I joined fordforums in 2003 but got banned in likeearly 2005 for some silly reason
went on two e series cruises during the 2005 .
2006 i joined back up with the brock and have been e series ever since , .
So im a 4 year man

My original car was a September '88 EA S Pack CFI 5 speed. It had a spoiler, 16" Ford Explorer chrome wheels, KYB/Lovells suspension and dodgy tint. Got it for a bargain, $1200 :lol:

Went to Penrith to pick it up!! Took a bus, it was a 24 hour mission.

I can't even find any of my original pics these days. Gill had some but they are on an old hard drive somewhere.

If anyone has pics of it with it's 16" chromies please post. <3.

been around for a long time. i've posted plenty of old pics around on this site, including bass_crazy, rmyers (before nwolb was conceived, let alone started), sphell, AcidBurnz, ...

is i8 only 8 years old? i finished uni in 2001, thought I was browsing that shit in 1st year (1999)?
