Well,

Just got off the phone to ACL, and they only pistons that I can get which will lower the compression are BA Turbo ones, and they will cost me $2000!!! ARGH!!! And, I might also need to purchase BA rods.

Would I be better off fitting a copper head gasket to lower the comp? Which thickness, 1mm or 1.6mm.

$2000 for XR6T pistons doesn't sound right, if you shop around you should be able to do better than that.

Anyway, a 1.6mm gasket should drop the comp by .3-.4 points I reckon. If you can CC everything you should be able to work it out.

crack the pistons, snap the rings, throw a rod.

that'll lower compression a bit

According to an ACL brochure a 1.6mm copper gasket is equal to 11cc.
I'm not sure what that would equate to in the overall compresion though.
