Boosted Falcon

Oki own a ford falcon eb.
i went to put my windows down the drives side window went down then i tried another window and it did not go down :S
then i tried to put my window up and it did not go up and now none of the windows works....
the front main switches and the rears are inop..
what do i do to fix this?
is there a fuse for it and where..
any help would be good

G'day David, first thing to check would be the fuse, in the fuse box it should be labelled 'PWR WDO', usually a 30amp fuse. If the fuse is ok, then it could be the switches that are faulty. Best thing to do is to try and find a second hand switch panel that works and test it with that.

all ya windows work now?
if it blew when you used a certain window it may happen again and be a wire shorting on that side or faulty motor.
or just pure bad luck

Usually a fuse with a fine snap (the size of a hair or less) has just blown for no real reason... just old, a fuse with a big gap in the link shows there is likely a direct short to ground or somethings causing it to draw too much power.

Fuses neve blow for no reason or due to age. Ever!!
They are not mechanical and do not wear out.

If one goes it is due to excessive current, you will find the window tracks need a clean and some graphite. Check the reg's and be sure the gearing is greased. Finally make sure the window still sits true.
